Cawbourne Bolt Inquiry Adjourned
GRNSW have this morning advised that the Cawbourne Bolt inquiry will not proceed today, as first announced back in early February.
GRNSW Stewards have accepted a request from the connections of Cawbourne Bolt for an adjournment of the inquiry.
The adjournment was requested in order that the connections be allowed additional time to consult with legal representatives prior to presentation of evidence.
As reported exlusively here, this stewards inquiry will be anything but straightforward, if the evidence connections presented to the inquiry is consistent that relayed to Australian Racing Greyhound.
That evidence is alleged to involve the contamination of the the greyhound in question by a kennel hand to an amphetamine, and is similar in circumstance to Gai Waterhouses positive swab in 2005 to Cocaine which was the result of contamination from a stable hand.
More recently Dave Righetti escaped an 18 month disqualification by presenting evidence, which was accepted on appeal; that his positive swab to an amphetamine was the result of contamination of the greyhound by a connection to the owner.
The new inquiry date has been set down for 30th March 2010 at the offices of GRNSW, to commence at 10 am.
