Dapto Receives $10,000 Upgrade

Dapto Greyhound ClubOutgoing Greyhound Club Secretary/Manager Wayne Billett has welcomed a $10,000 grant from the State Government to improve showground facilities.

The grant, which will be used to upgrade the toilet and amenities block, is part of a $2 million package available to race clubs after equine influenza.

“We are delighted that our application received a positive response,” Billett said. “We have been improving facilities for punters here over the past couple of years and the new toilets are the next step in the process.”

Minister for Gaming and Racing said he hoped the grant would “build a stronger future” for Dapto dogs.

Meanwhile, the search for a replacement for Mr Billet continues.

announced his resignation from his long held position with the club last month to further pursue his managerial career at the Dandaloo Hotel.

Applications are set to close with the club tomorrow, 13th June 2008.
