Finish on lure racing to make a comeback at Richmond greyhounds

Greyhound racing

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) have announced today that finish on lure racing will return to Richmond later this month.

Before the outbreak of COVID-19, the Richmond club was conducting highly popular and successful finish on lure meetings every Sunday, and those meetings will now return on 21st June 2020.

GRNSW and the Greyhound Welfare & Integrity Commission (GWIC) announced on March 13 that all finish on lure meetings would be suspended immediately following a number of cases of canine coronavirus around the country, in an effort to avoid any potential of spreading the virus.

GRNSW and GWIC introduced COVID-19 restrictions soon after, but following the easing of restrictions this week, a decision has been made to recommence Finish On Lure racing.

Finish on lure meetings will again be held every Sunday at Richmond from 21st June.
