There’s plenty happening at the popular Central Coast track – a Non TAB meeting is programmed for Saturday 3rd January 2009 to take advantage of the big influx of holiday makers to the region over the Christmas and New Year periods.
But the main focus will be the 515m Woy Woy Poultry Supplies Gold Cup as the main attraction on tonight’s TAB meeting. The Group 2 feature carries a with a winner’s purse of $25,000 and offers four heats of spectacular racing tonight.
Miss Elly Mint owned by Ray Watson and trained by Robert Smith will be a hot favourite to win its heat and line up favourite again in the final after winning the Christmas Gift at Wenty on December 20 to add to its long list of consecutive wins.
Heat two features Size Can Matter now trained by Jack Irwin while Margaret Keys has her in-form pair of Tiggerlong Patch and Tiggerlong Petal engaged in the final two heats.
The exciting and talented Rockstar Image, holder of the Bathurst 450 metres track record will contest heat 3 for Allan and Nick Healey, and Australian Racing Greyhound’s favourite greyhound will have plenty of support after being set for this race and coming off a short let up.
All roads will lead to Gosford for the final on January 6th which promises a great night of racing.
