Budgewoi couple Les & Carol Hudson had six thousand seven hundred reasons to smile last Tuesday night when there greyhound Opal Cove won his maiden at Gosford.
The Gosford jackpot had grown to $6,700 and Opal Cove, after being drawn as the jackpot dog led throughout to score a very good win.
Les & Carol very kindly shouted all & sundry & everybody in attendance was very appreciative. Certainly a night to remember & a promising start to Opal Cove's racing career.

Queen Rose a promising bitch trained at Londonderry by Kristy Sultana kept her unbeaten record in tact by leading throughout in a fast 30.13 secs over the 515m trip.
Queen Rose has now won four races from her only four starts, having previously recorded a treble at Richmond.
The Lorraine Watts trained Seditious recorded her second minor placing in a row in this race & looks certain to score again shortly.
Lorraine Atchison returned to Gosford with Splendour with happy results, when this Brett Lee ex Tawari Tess bitch led throughout to win in 30.16. This takes her Gosford record to five starts for three wins.
Laurie's Star owned & trained by Laurie Refalo was rewarded for his consistency when he scored a 4¾ length maiden win in 30.56 & Diorissimo showed an appreciation for the extra distance with a smart 35.34 win over the 600m trip.
