Kayla Enlim Claims Bathurst’s Australia Day Feature Race

The finals of both 's feature races were held on Monday night's twelve race Australia Day card.

Portland mentor Carolyn Hore snared a winning double with Our Rebound who got the line stoutly in 26.51 whilst Kara's Princess made it two straight over the longs with a hollow all the way 36.89 gallop.

holder Bells Fair almost eclipsed his 307m mark with a sizzling 17.51 romp over Dana Tee and Miss Red Fox. It was the trained sprint king's eighteenth success on the Bathurst track and he has now won twelve from fourteen over his pet short-course trip.

Another impressive maiden winner was Mark Wicks' Ryan's Forest who scored in a very nippy 17.70.

Carrado Gerrico broke through for Mudgee conditioner posting 17.98. All three of these greyhounds will be worth watching when they step up over more distance.

Race eleven was reduced to just a field of four and Rod McDonald was at it again as his charge Best Player finished too well to down the heavily backed My Girl Lucy in 26.60.

Just a reminder that the Bathurst club moves back onto the Wednesday TAB twilight slot as from Wednesday 4th February.

The Bathurst club will break new ground at that meeting with all races to be held under the NZ Finish-on format.
