Laurie’s Rocket The Perfect Tonic For Barry Waters

Laurie’s Rocket provided the perfect tonic for his trainer Barry Waters when he scored an easy win in the Ted’s Pest Control 400m Final on Tuesday night last.

Barry who is currently not enjoying the best of health, was at home watching on Sky Channel, and entrusted the race night duties to owner and good mate Laurie Refalo with very happy results all round.

Well done Barry and hope to see you back at the track shortly.

The win by Laurie’s Star in race ten provided owner Laurie Refalo with a double for the night, just missing out on a treble when Laurie’s Flash was beaten into second placing in the first on the card.

Brood bitch Tommie’s Placard supplied three winners on the night, courtesy of Tommie Nate (by Hallucinate), Laurie’s Rocket (also by Hallucinate) and Laurie’s Star (by Elite State).

Lorraine Watts scored an overdue win with Seditious in race seven, when she led throughout to defeat Watta Guy and Wembley Whisper in a smart 30.14 over the 515m trip. Having been runner-up at her previous two starts Seditious now heads back to Wentworth Park in an attempt to record another City win.

For the second week in a row, the jackpot dog was successful when Lee Kate stormed home to score a ½len win over 600m. Owned and trained by Richard Warren, Lee Kate collected an extra $255 dollars for the win.

Other good wins on the night were recorded by Bongeen’s Girl trained by Warren Harper and Roses for Ruby trained by Ron Bell.
