New Faces Vy For Seats On NSW GBOTA Board
Nominations for the NSW GBOTA Board of Directors closed with the NSW GBOTA's Returning Officer, Brenton Scott at 12 Noon on March 31, 2010.
Four nominations have been received for the Metropolitan District for which three vacancies exist. Sitting Directors G (Bill) Mangafas, Sue Absalom and Richard Bligh have again offered themselves for re-election and member Brett Lazzarini has also offered himself for election.
In the Newcastle & Hunter River District, for which two vacancies exist, five nominations have been received. Sitting Directors Jenny Green and Bryan Young have offered themselves for re-election. Former Directors Gary Minter and R (Bob) Williams are seeking election as is Michael Power.
In the South Coast and Southern Tablelands, for which one vacancy exists, two nominations have been received. Sitting Director Murray Buffolin has not sought re-election and a ballot will be contested between Joe Bertinato and Colin Williams.
In the other Association Districts, North & North Western, Northern Rivers and Western, sitting Directors, Geoff Rose, Joe Cotroneo and George Hayes have offered themselves for election and will be re-elected unopposed.
In the Riverina District, sitting Director Bill Schwencke has not sought re-election. Member Gary Harding has sought election and will be elected unopposed.
Ballot papers will be distributed to all NSW GBOTA members on April 30, 2010 and are to be returned to the NSW GBOTA by May 31, 2010.
The term of the next Directorate will commence on June 1, 2010 and will run to May 31, 2012.
