Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Stewards will commence an inquiry into the analyst’s findings of a prohibited substance in the post-race urine sample taken from Pink Sock after that greyhound finished 7th in Race 2 at the Unibet Gardens meeting on 31 March 2012.
The inquiry will be conducted at the offices of Greyhound Racing NSW on a date to be fixed.
Earlier this week, GRNSW suspended the licence of trainer Wayne Vanderburg under the provisions of GAR 92 (5) pending the outcome of an inquiry into an analyst’s findings of a prohibited substance in the urine sample also taken from Pink Sock after she finished 8th in Race 4 at the Unibet Gardens meeting on 25 February 2012.
These two inquiries continue Vanderburg’s poor run with NSW greyhound racing stewards.
Earlier this year Vanderburg was the central focus of a sensational stewards inquiry which saw greyhounds seized from the trainer by authorities.
Pink Sock, who now races in New Zealand, was also one of the greyhounds involved in the original inquiries that stemmed from a February 2012 greyhound race at The Gardens.
