The Entrance Football Club, not the four legged & striped kind; and their sponsors enjoyed a great nights racing at Gosford last Tuesday July 29th.
The win of Curry Le Fox in the 400m maiden provided trainer Justin King of Wilberforce with the first leg of a winning double.
Chanel’s Jet first up since February and first up in NSW (having previously raced in South Australia) gave Justin his second winner for the night when she ran down the early leader Deedee Storm to score a determined win in race nine on the programme.
Lorraine Watts from Paxton went within a nose of training a double in consecutive races when Seditious just failed to hold off the finish of Lagoon Blues in race six.
Freckle Bear also trained by Lorraine easily won race five on the night, a Blue Paws FFA over 515m in an equal best of the night 30.21secs, running smart sectionals of 4.41 and 17.04.
The 1-3 wins Final was taken out by the very promising Bertie Sannette owned and trained by the Gatt Family at Ingleburn. This greyhound has now won its last 4 starts with an overall record of 5 starts for 4 wins and 1 third.
John Miles from Killcare had tongues wagging after Talk About Me won race four the 515m maiden. John ventured to Grafton earlier in the month where after being well supported Talk About Me could only finish third in a maiden over 407mts, but back on her home track and up to 515mts, Talk About Me was again well supported and this time got the money scoring by 3½ lens.
Other good wins on the night were recorded by Quota Of Coal for Noel Wright who won the 600mts event, and Bell’s Fair who won the 400mts FFA for owner Vincent Carraro and trainer Mark Vella.
All in all a very good night at Gosford.
