The Victorian bitch is the fastest qualifier for the feature, having clocked a sensational 29.63 in her semi-final last weekend. A winner of three from four over the track and trip, the daughter of Premier Fantasy and Where’s Demonica is suitably drawn in box two and should be leading for a long way if she can repeat her 5.36 first section from last week.
Best rated to beat the favourite is fellow Victorian Striker Light which will exit box seven on Saturday night. The Brett Bravo trained bitch is already a group 1 winner over the track and trip at Wentworth Park and will be looking to take her career earnings above $380,000 if she is successful in the lucrative decider.
Seona Thompson will be represented by two runners in the final, with Big Flood (box four) and Aqua Cheetah (box six) both given a chance by punters. Whilst Aqua Cheetah is the Group 1 Adelaide Cup winner, most of the support will be for Big Flood which has stamped himself as one of the most exciting pups in the country throughout his short 18-start career.
Lucky Chap (box three) rounds out the Victorian contenders for this year’s Easter Egg for Anthony Azzopardi. The son of Brett Lee and Cawbourne Whip is an absolute flying machine but will have to do everything right drawn amongst a stack of pace.
Best of the local hopes is Mack Tux off the cherry, with the black speedster owning a 29.78 personal best over the track and trip. His best attribute is his early speed which is sure to put him in contention for a long way.
Lagoon Jazzy (box eight) and Slamming Thunder (box five) are both big odds due to their awkward draws, however both ran good races in their semi-finals.
