The longest standing feature event for the has this year already seen some resounding performances by the likes of , Transcend Time, Mr Beau, Odie For Now, Garrick Bale and Renegade Chief.

The most talked about performance following last week's heats was the efforts of prepared Renegade Chief, who managed to run within half a length of early leader Transcend Time in heat three. Owned by AFL great Tony Lockett, Renegade Chief has drawn more favourably in this weekend's semi-finals, coming up with box one in the opening semi.

Fastest heat winner Proven Nitro will headline semi-final two, and despite going from box one to box six, the recent 1 Adelaide Cup placegetter will remain the race's favourite. Proven Nitro meets fellow heat winner Grigorieva Bale(Box 8) and Tasmanian Zorro's Legacy (Box 1).

Tasmanian mentor will be looking for his second successive Wentworth Park Group Race Final qualification after Bell Haven won the $25,000 on October 13.

Peter Mosman Classic winner (Wentworth Park, 520m) Garrick Bale heads the third semi with Victorian trainer set to have three runners line up in the event. Dailly who has ten runners for this weekend, will be looking for Garrick Bale to continue his strong Wentworth Park form. Expect to see improvement from Syd Swain's Billy The Sid and prepared Bellringer, which finished fourth last week after starting short price favourite.

Arguably the most intriguing semi-final, race 8 sees heat winner Odie For Now draw the red rug, while Transcend Time has drawn the pink. They are joined by fellow heat winner Dana Lara (box 3) and Centrebet Magic Maiden winner Tifia (box 6). The final semi shapes up and a great way to determine the final qualifiers for the $75, 000 to the winner, November 3 Final.
