Preview Of The Group Three Ladies Bracelet Heats

Group racing continues at Wentworth Park on Saturday night with four heats of the Group Three Ladies Bracelet taking place over 520 metres at Wentworth Park. The race is open to the best 32 female greyhounds nominated and is worth $25,000 to the winner.

Here's a look at the main chances in each heat:

Heat One – Group Three Ladies Bracelet (Race 5 at 8:50pm)

Golden Easter Egg finalist Magic Display (5) headlines the first heat. She has the same box as she did in last week's Egg final and was unlucky not to lead as she was hampered by Buckle Up Wes (1) on the first turn. She has been beginning very consistently and that trait should put her in the race.

winner Rue De Kahn (7) has missed the boat in her last two runs at Wentworth Park after failing to lead both times. This is her first go wearing the black rug. She's won from box eight previously so she should be able to handle the outside. Her best time at Wentworth Park is 29.79. A return to that will see her go close.

Queen Marina (3) has been showing good box manners in her last few starts. She has won her last two at over 600 metres however she hasn't nabbed a win in nine attempts at Wentworth Park.

The Kristy Sultana-Tim Caines partnership has been producing winners of late and they have Premier Mozz (6) jumping from box six. She has five wins at Wentworth Park to her credit and a best of 29.93. Her recent form has been average but with some luck it would be no surprise to see her feature.

Heat Two – Group Three Ladies Bracelet (Race 6 at 9:12pm)

(1) won the Group Three last week, flying out from box four to record sizzling sectionals en route to her 29.47 win. Based on that form she is hard to beat. She performed extremely well through the Egg series with some bad luck costing her a chance of making the final.

My Kinda Music (6) had this box last week when she finished third in the New Sensation behind Hooksy. She is the holder at Temora and a very speedy conveyance. Her best time is 29.75.

Zipping Summah (5) has won three of her last four at Wentworth Park with a flying best of 29.61. She is strong and with a bit of room early, can show some early dash.

Heat Three – Group Three Ladies Bracelet (Race 6 at 9:35pm)

Darren McDonald will make the journey up from Victoria with Kiss Me Ketut's sister, Quick Succession (2). She had a smart trial last week in 29.76 and has had some fast wins at Geelong and .

Irondale Bravo ran second behind Hooksy last week in the New Sensation. She won her semi-final of the series in 29.66 from a suitable outside draw. She's had five runs at Wentworth Park for one win and two placings. She mixes box manners and hasn't got a load of early pace, but she is strong.

Chica Destacada (7) has been racing without luck lately, finishing unplaced in the and Easter Egg heats. She travelled to last week for the heats of the , but just missed the final, running third. She likes Wentworth Park having won three from five. Her best is 29.73.

Lil Miss Sparkle (4) is a good each-way chance. She is an excellent beginner and will likely lead the field with a best first section of 5.32. She isn't strong in the closing stages but has run 29.99.

Heat Four – Group Three Ladies Bracelet (Race 8 at 9:57pm)

Zipping Willow (4) was in the winner's circle last week in 29.72 and she looks the likely favourite for this heat. Her best time is a flying 29.59. As long as she doesn't find trouble early, she should be too good.

Jawlaa (8) put together three wins at Wentworth Park in March before a seventh last start. Her best is 29.90 and she needs to be up amongst the early leaders in order to feature.

Where On Earth (6) is a chance at odds. She has won three of her last four and is a consistent beginner. The only thing going against her is that she has failed to run a place from three starts out of box six.

Eleazar (1) is dropping back to 520 metres after racing over the staying trip. She has been leading most of her staying events and it will be interesting to see how she fares in the early stages of this race.

The two placegetters from each heat will go through to next Saturday's final.
