Greyhound Racing Chief Steward Position Still Vacant In Queensland
Racing Queensland Limited (RQL) today announced that it had deferred the appointment of a chief steward (harness and greyhounds).
RQL recently advertised the new role and undertook a full selection process. While a number of experienced well-credentialed stewards applied and were considered, RQL took into account the importance of this role across two codes of racing, and determined to defer any appointment until it is satisfied that it has found an available candidate who meets every criteria.
In the meantime, Mr John Hackett who has been acting as chief steward (harness racing) will now act as chief steward (harness and greyhounds) until such time as a fulltime chief steward is appointed.
