Lord Seaton Takes Flight At Rockhampton

The dog was expected to do well, but he blitzed the field to beat the dog by over six lengths and in a smart time of 23.52 seconds, equal best time of the afternoon.

Suli had already taken the first heat of the series with which romped away from Allan Svensen's consistent Maywyn Blaze to win by just over two lengths.

Raymond Young's Snicker Sneeze was a further one-and-a-half lengths back in third.

The 5th grade final this week should see a victory for Bill Boon's dog if his form in the heats is an indicator. Rubber Soles was a clear winner, taking his heat by three lengths from Brian Goodman's Stafford Tavern and recording the best time of the three heats.

Other heat wins went to Jeff Kuhl's , which got over the inside dog, Addis Express, to win by nearly two lengths, while Les Wisener had a win in the other heat with surprise package He's Rapid, with hot favourites Araluen Tiger and Disillusioned not in the frame.

It was not a great night for Boon who saw a lot of his fancied runners trail winners home.

One such dog was Tweed Scandal in the 1st/2nd grade race, which was beaten into a third place by winner Maverick Lee, a -trained animal, and Walter Bennetts' .

Jeff Kuhl's One Stone was expected to record his first win in the Maiden race but it was not to be as the dog was too good, winning by nearly six lengths.

Mister Rhys, another Kuhl-trained dog, was the third home, nearly seven lengths behind the winner.
