Round 2 For Rattle And Hum And Elma Fud At Albion Park

This week's quality Brisbane racing will see a rematch between two of Albion Park's star performers, and Elma Fud.

Both lined up in the Hawkins Media Solutions 520m Best Eight last week, with betting falling in favour of the Terrence McCarthy-trained Rattle And Hum.

But it was 's Elma Fud that found the lead from box one on the first turn to win the race by four lengths ahead of Rattle And Hum.

The two will again meet this Thursday night in the first and second grade free-for-all ‘Psudo is Coming Classic' over 520m.

However, the tides have turned in this race, which will have many punters studying form closely, with Rattle And Hum this time wearing the red, and Elma Fud jumping from box four.

Another top dog that is sure to race keenly, and may prove to challenge Elma Fud to cross is Reg Hazelgrove's Eskimo Dancer, who will jump from box three.

In box two, is expected to run a strong race for trainer Dave Irwin, boasting a smart best time late last year of 30.14.

One to watch out for in this race also is Black Monty, who drops back to 520m, a distance he has crossed the line first 11 times at Albion Park.

The race before this is the Best Eight ‘Sundays At The Exchange' 600m (Race Seven), a race with several strong-form middle-distance runners including the returned Black Ruler.

Black Ruler ran an impressive 35.06 last week, returning to his dominant best that saw him earn the title of the 2008 Brisbane .

The 600m King, trained by Reg Hazelgrove, will jump from box six, and will favour the vacant inside box five in his dash to cross to lead.

But several strong greyhounds will be standing in his way further inside including (box four), Code (box two) and Royston Renegade (box one).

While Black Ruler beat these three last week from box three, he may find it more difficult due to their improvement in boxes.

Royston Renegade and Code are sure to be top contenders for the lead and paired side by side will be a force to be reckoned with.

Race 10 of the night, the fifth grade 520m race, will see top class galloper Dual Enforcer return to Thursday night racing.

Dual Enforcer, which has recently enjoyed time at stud and a short stint at Wentworth Park late last year, dominated at the now closed Gold Coast Parklands track, and will start tonight to try and secure his first win over 520m in Brisbane.

The Bob Wright-trained Black Enforcer – dog won comfortably on March 24 over 395m at Albion Park from box one. Jumping from box five tonight, he is expected to come out firing.

Another top class performer making the return to major metropolitan racing is Magic who ran an impressive heat in the Two Bogie Leigh Queensland Futurity last month, but failed to produce on Final night.

Trained by Michelle Stella, Digital Magic boasts strong southern form and on his first run at Albion Park clocked in at 30.24.

The quick bitch will need to pull out a similar first sectional of that win to be victorious tonight with Reg Hazelgrove's sure to capitalise on any faults from box eight.

Whirly Storm is a consistent top three finisher, and the outside box will not trouble her too much.

Heza Menagarie is also one to keep an eye on for trainer John Reimer, having raced against some of Albion Park's best in recent weeks such as Gnaraloo and Elma Fud. This pace experience is sure to see him improve.

    Andy Albion's Best Bets :
  • Race 7 Number 6 Black Ruler
  • Race 8 Number 1 Rattle And Hum
  • Race 9 Number 3 Digital Magic
