That’s Twitchy A Hot Thing With Seminole In Perth

Last week's Queensland Schweppes National Distance final runner up That's Twitchy will be out to make amens this Thursday night with the absence of winner Seminole.

The Carine Lazari-trained dog beat Seminole in the heats the week before, but failed to hold on from a late dash by the late Mick Thrupp's proven bitch.

He will need to come out explosively again this week with proven performer Code in box one, Hot Dessa in box two and last week's 710m Best Eight winner Smart Choice.

Smart Choice blitzed the field in his third start back for trainer Bob Giltinan, showing great early speed with a blistering 16.13 first sectional.

Smart Choice beat Hot Dessa in this race to win by a length and a half, which would suggest a more competitive rivary this week with Hot Dessa starting from box two instead of box six.

Other racing on Thursday night's card also includes a second and third grade 520m race, sponsored by Sky Racing.

Top contender for the 2009 Brisbane , Ryan's A Rocket will jump from box six, and will benefit greatly from a vacant inside box.

The Cup-winner won well last Thursday to beat Kathy's Recall.

However, several top sprinters will be dropping back from last week's Queensland National Sprint final including Azakhan (box four) and Yikes (box seven).

An outside chance that has been racing very well is Premier Chief who has gained strong third placings recently against Group quality greyhounds in Bogie Bomber and Voodoo Prince, who in their last starts broke the 30-second barrier.

Premier Chief has been climbing the ranks well and will be a top contender in this race.

In Race Five, the Give Me Five at Stud 520m, southern greyhound Scheckler Bale will have his second start at the Creek after running second last Thursday night.

Trained by , Scheckler Bale is now in Queensland after running in Melbourne, and found the line well last week.
