Rinhals Wins Twice In 3 Days At Casino

The unusually named Rinhals made it two wins in three days when he won the Country Energy stake at Casino last .

Spearing out from box six, the Shane Robinson trained sprinter a winning break at the winning post the first time, and from there the result was never in doubt.

Punters had him short in the market after his all of the way win the previous Tuesday, and they never had a worry as he won in similar fashion, clocking 27.69 for the 484 metres.

It was the second meeting at Casino in three days, and punters were right on the “mark” if they followed the form. Besides the win of Rinhals, both the Maurie Mc Cardle trained , and stayer Write Off Bart, were able to repeat their successes. Lawvek snuck along the “Taubman’s” to get the judge’s pat by a head in 27.63, whilst Write Off Bart ran them off their legs in the Valley Council distance stake, winning by 6 1/2 lengths in 35.42.

The highlight of the day was the Casino RSM Club Beef Week Cup and it was won by the well performed Kidatee Alf. Last year’s runner up Sate led them up, but turning for home Kidatee Alf was right on her “hammer”, and in the run to the wire proved too strong. He clocked 27.47 in a 3/4 length win, and was the first leg of a winning double for trainer , as Bralyn Lilly saluted in the lucky last. She was another to follow up a mid week win and ran 23.30. The kennel is on “fire” at present with five wins at the last two meetings.

Amika gave the Marilyn Johnson / Pat Blore combination a change of luck when she was successful in the Pfizer Animal Health stake. She ran a very good race at her last start, and from box two was well placed throughout. Proving too strong over the concluding stages, she was able to get home by a half a head in a good time of 27.75. It was her first victory since Christmas, and let’s hope now that she has broken through, another win is not too far away.

Wicked Twist bounced back from a heavy fall at her last start to take out the Land Newspaper stake for . After being well supported and winning at her first outing, she had that tumble, but on Friday showed good speed from her outside draw to run away and win by three lengths in 27.77.

Azure Allegro set the time standard for the sprinters (23.09), when she railed through down the side to win by 5 3/4 lengths for Neville Robson, and first starter Guyra also came with a run along the fence to get the prize for . He won by a length in 24.06.

Bob Merillo’s got around a packing field as they went into the back to win the Westlawn Finance stake by 3 1/4 lengths in 23.30, while Shez Tipsy railed well throughout to win the Northern Star maiden in 23.55.

The remaining race, the Tursa maiden, was won by Kooringa Baz who ran 28.09. Suited by a wide draw, he had plenty of galloping room after a slow start, and gathered in the leaders as they went down the back. The Mitch Northfield trained galloper won by 3 1/4 lengths.

Casino will race again next Friday afternoon with the first race arond 12.30pm.
