Gawler Day Meeting Switched To Angle Park Night Due To Heat

The day meeting scheduled for Gawler on Tuesday 8th January has been shifted to Angle Park and will be conducted as a night meeting due to the forecast excessive heat predicted in SA on this day.

According to Greyhound Racing South Australia, “acting under the GRSA Hot Weather Policy the decision was made to shift to Angle Park and run as a night meeting in the best interests of the greyhounds, participants and patrons”.

There were initially 52 nominations for Gawler however with the move to Angle Park those nominations have been extended and will now close with GRSA at 9.00am tomorrow (Friday 4th January).

This meeting will be conducted as an (APD) meeting which will allow the use of the 388m boxes and prizemoney will be at normal Tuesday levels.

With this race meeting now at Angle Park there will be no trials on Tuesday night.

This will be a Sky Racing 2 covered meeting (however races 2 & 10 will be dual simulcast on Sky 1) and will be an 11 race program with the first to start at 6.49pm.

Fields will be drawn ASAP tomorrow once the nominations have closed.
