GREYHOUND Racing South Australia (GRSA) have released their racing dates for the upcoming 2016/2017 racing season, with 350 TAB meetings and 26 Non TAB meetings set to be held across the festival state.

Metropolitan racing retains its Thursday night slot at Angle Park, with 51 night meetings booked in to fill the spot. The only exception is on Adelaide Cup night in 2017 when the city meeting is transferred to a Friday night at Angle Park.

All up, 107 meetings are set to be run at the state’s main racing venue, Angle Park, with 52 TAB meetings on both Mondays (night) and Wednesdays (day).

The Club has also picked up one meeting on a Tuesday, with the track filling the time slot for the Gawler track which will be closed while the Gawler Show is held in August 2016.

Additionally, Angle Park will also race on one Saturday throughout the 2016/2017 season, with a special night meeting to be held on August 27 for the Group 1 National Sprint and Distance Championship finals, which make their way to Adelaide this year.

The secondary track in SA, Gawler, has received 100 meetings, with 50 to be held on a Tuesday (day) and 47 on a Sunday (night). Gawler will also swap their dates with Strathalbyn for two weeks, with two meetings to be held on a Friday to accomodate the Strathalbyn Cup heat and final meetings, and will hold one meeting on a Thursday night to allow the Adelaide Cup at Angle Park to be held in the Friday night slot.

Strathalbyn will hold 28 meetings throughout the year, 24 on a Friday (day) and four on a Sunday. Two of the Sunday meetings will be for the Strathalbyn Cup, one to accomodate for the Gawler Show and one to make way for the Adelaide Cup.
