Tasmanian Sprint & Distance Championship Heats set to ignite Launceston
The Tasmanian Sprint Championship Series is set to bring the heat to Launceston‘s greyhound racing scene with the feature race series starting on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
The awaited State Sprint Championship Final will then take place after the heats on Thursday, August 8, promising a special finale to the series.
In addition to that the Tasmanian Distance Championship will be run as a straight out Best 8 race scheduled for August 8, where the top greyhounds in the state will showcase their endurance and speed.
Interested greyhound trainers can submit their nominations for the Ladbrokes Tasmanian Sprint Championship Heats (515m) by July 25th at 10:00 AM AEST.
Those looking forward to the Distance Championship can submit their nominations by August 2nd at 10:00 AM.
To ensure a level playing field greyhounds that have not raced in Tasmania recently need to submit a First Starter Nomination form to the Office of Racing Imtegrity (ORI) by the working day before nominations close.
Additionally a greyhound must have been in Tasmania for 76 days out of the last 150 days before the Nomination Closing Date to qualify for either of the race series.
