Thai Again Still Leads March 2009 Australian Dam Rankings

For the third month running (Token Prince ~ Thia Magic) still leads the Australian .

Thai Again did just enough by adding seven points to take her tally to move to 25 points and stay ahead of Go Shoopa (Awesome Assassin ~ Terrific Time) who has regained out right second again after slipping to fourth in February 2009.

Thai Again’s performers during March 2009 were again litter brothers Hendrix and (~Thai Again (Token Prince~Thai Magic)); but the progeny of her third litter also performed well in Brislane, Tian Hao Lee and Tian Hao Miss (Hallucinate~Thai Again (Token Prince~Thai Magic)). Tian Hao Lee won the Group 3 Nowra Summer with litter sister Tian Hao Miss running the quinella in the final.

Go Shoopa again recovered from February to add four more points, all courtesy of Gunnadoo Magic (Token Prince ~ Go Shoopa (Awesome Assassin ~ Terrific Time)) who won the Group 3 at .

’s March 2009 group performers were Velocette (Bombastic Shiraz ~ Texan Lady (Fortress ~ Midnight Flirt)) who annexed both the Goup 2 Horsham Cup and the Group 3 Consolation, but litter brother Tapalyn also contributed running third in the Group 3 Sprinters Challenge behind Mantra Lad at Cannington. Those performances made her one of March’s biggest movers, adding a futher 11 points to her Februarty tally of just six to move to outright third on 17 points.

The award of March’s biggest mover undoubtedly goes to Little Lamplight, who though the deeds of her sole group racing performer Miss Slick (Bombastic Shiraz ~ Little Lamplight ( ~ Ginsin)) burst on to the national dam rankings after not even being in the count in February. Little Lamplight earnt 17 points through Miss Slick’s second in the Group 3 Sprinters Challenge and then her Group 1 Perth Cup win.

Listed below are the dam rankings for March 2009. The ranked positions are determined by a points system applied to group races on a sliding scale of points first to eighth.
