Bushfires Force Cancellation Of Saturdays Healesville Meeting
Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) advises that the Healesville Greyhound Association's race meeting scheduled for Saturday 14th February has been cancelled.
Volatile conditions have meant the Country Fire Authority (CFA) has put the town of Healesville and surrounding areas on alert.
CFA resources have been relocated to the Don Road complex and unnecessary vehicles are advised to avoid the immediate area at this time.
GRV has agreed to forward the normal travel payment to trainers engaged at this meeting in recognition of the difficulties experienced by trainers at this time.
GRV will distribute the travel payment to each trainer via the normal method of direct EFT on Thursday 19th February.
This race meeting will not be rescheduled and Healesville is due to next race on Saturday 21st February.
