Macro Meats Extends Sandown Sponsorhip Deal

The Greyhound Racing Club today announced the extension of its sponsorship deal with for 2010.

The deal secures Macro Meats the naming rights to the Classic and 3 Shootout, as well as naming rights to the Sandown Autumn Stayers Series – Australia's richest series for staying greyhounds culminating in the $143,000 .

Macro Meats will also sponsor the (Sandown) Cup Night Stayers and (Melbourne) Cup Night Sprint, the best nomination races that run as support races to the respective night's features.

Established in South Australia in 1987, Macro Meats has grown to become Australia's largest supplier of kangaroo meat to the food service industry and is a recognised leader in its field.

In recent years, Macro Meats involvement in greyhound racing has grown to include the naming rights to some of the biggest races on the Australian greyhound racing calendar, including Group one events such as the , Super Stayers and Australia's richest greyhound race, the Macro Meats Golden Easter Egg.

The Macro Meats Autumn Stayers Series kicks off with the final of the $14,500 City of Greater Dandenong final on Thursday 8 April, and culminates with Australia's richest race for stayers, the $143,000 Group 1 Radio Sport 927 Sandown Cup on Thursday 6 May.
