Magic Diva Wins The 2014 Warrnambool Classic
Magic Diva led through to land the 2014 Group Two Warrnambool Classic for Lara trainer Darren Brown.
Showing the virtue of early speed, the daughter of Elite State and Encampbell (Brett Lee – Wickepin Web) gave nothing else a chance en route to earning her connections a cool $75,000 winners cheque.
After spearing the lids from box five, she quickly opened up a big break, with her two kennelmates, Cosmic Station (8) and Elite Diva (6) in second and third early, albeit four lengths away.
Try as they did, nothing was able to get close to the 29kg black bitch as she maintained her ascendency to score by 1 3/4 lengths on the line from the fast finishing Dream It (7), with Sir Hugo (3) landing third place.
