hosts a very inviting Tuesday night meeting this week with two feature races in particular that grab the eye.

The two special events will be the Final worth $6,260 to the winner, a race run over the 460 metre trip. Two races later there is an $8,000 to-the-winner Special Event for the stayers. Both races also carry a $1000 .

A pretty handy field will contest the Winter Cup after the heats were run last week. Allen Malik (1) will more than likely start favourite from the rails alley and has all the statistics stacked heavily in his .

The son of and Spiral Bale (Spiral Nikita – Arivada Bale) set the fastest qualifying time of 25.71 last week and has one of the better records from box one that you are likely to see in the sport. The 34kg brindle dog is undefeated from the cherry in five starts which augurs well for him in this race.

It is certainly not set to be a one-dog show however with the highly talented Deadly Vane (6) looking the main adversary for Allen Malik. Deadly Vane whistled home in his heat to win in 26.13 and has won at Warragul in the past in a zippy 25.57.

It promises to be a ripper of a race and will jump at 8:27pm.

Two races later some of Victoria's better stayers will contest the Special Event over the 680 metre journey.

One of the highlights of the race will be the second run back from a spell for the Sydney Cup winner Lucy Wires (7). At her first run back over 680 metres at Geelong, she was tardily away as usual and then made some late ground to finish fifth. It will be interesting to see if she can reel a few more in here with that run under her belt.

Group One Perth Galaxy winner Born Ali (5) has been a model of consistency at the top level for months but has struggled to win races. The trained bitch is rarely out of the top four and may appreciate a slight drop in grade for this race.

's staying ranks include superstar bitch Sweet It Is, but he also has a very handy conveyance engaged in this race via Zipping Joe (3). The regally bred son of and Or Catra ( – Gold Serenade) has strung three distance wins together in a row and looks to be forging his name as a genuine top-liner.

Another up-and-comer in the race is the Angela Jackson trained Fachoong (2). The front running dog has won five from 16 and revelled over the middle distances before recently stepping up. This is one of the biggest tests so far in his short career.

The race is scheduled to jump at 9:09pm.
