WA Star Pillow Torque The One To Beat In Superstayers Final

The Troy Iwanyk-trained Pillow Torque is the greyhound to beat in the 1 Superstayers final after blowing away her rivals in a sensational heat win over the 725-metre journey last Saturday night.

Owned by West-Australian greyhound enthusiast Dan Biddle, Pillow Torque will have to contend with box five in Saturday night's final – the fourth start in a row where she'll wear the yellow rug – if she is to win the first Group final of her career.

The daughter of and Abbadale Gold could not have been more impressive in her heat victory. Despite Group star applying the pressure down the back straight, the blue fawn chaser went into another gear to score in 42.38 – more than eight lengths quicker than other heat winners So Seductive and Bobby Boucheau.

Trainer will be hoping his star So Seductive can kick-start a potentially huge night for the Pearcedale trainer, who also has engaged in the Group 1 MTD . So Seductive's chances have been bolstered after drawing box one in the $50,000-to-the-winner final. The daughter of and Smiles Are Free – who overcame trouble to win her heat in 42.86 – is aiming to win the third Group race of her career.

Young star Bobby Boucheau also staked his claim as a definite threat in Saturday night's final after a come from behind heat win in 42.86. The son of Bombastic Shiraz and Dallas Gypsy will start from box six – the same draw he exited when fourth in the recent Macro Meats .
