Worst Fears “Unofficially” Confirmed For Kinglake Greyhound Trainer

The worst fears aired on Australian Racing Greyhound yesterday have been “unoficially” confirmed, with reports that Wangaratta Greyhound Racing Club Committeman and former Wangaratta greyhound identity , has been found dead in a Kinglake home.

Norris' family and friends had feared the worst after they had been unable to contact him since early Saturday morning. Tragically Norris had only moved to the Kinglake area to live with his partner and 3 children, just one day before fires devastated the area

It must be stressed that while there is no “official” police report to go by, “informal” sources have reported that Norris had this morning been found at his new neighbours home with 7 other people including 3 children.

Our deepest sympathies and thoughts go out to everyone touched by these tragic fires at this time, but especially to the friends and family of Rex Norris.

There is no word yet on the safety or whereabouts of another Kinglake greyhound identity, .
