Zipping Kane ultra impressive with Group 3 Racecallers win

ZIPPING Kane scored the biggest win of his career on Thursday night, taking out the 3 Racecallers (595m) at Park.

Following the scratching of the early favourite No Donuts, Zipping Kane was sent to the boxes as the $3.40 second elect behind Ernest Bale ($3.20) which gained a start as the first reserve from box two.

When the lids flew open, Zipping Kane used box one to hold his position along the fence and stalk the early leader Diva's Shadow into the race. Running through the catching pen and Zipping Kane started gaining around the outside, reaching the front in the charge into the back straight and sprinting clear.

Turning for home and the son of and Scarlett Girl was in no danger, crossing the line 2.37 lengths ahead of Diva's Shadow in a slick 34.01.

The victory was Zipping Kane's 11th career win at start 27, with the winning pay taking his career earnings to $49,540 for trainer Carolyn Jones and the Hallinan family.
