Superman turned 11 in November of last year and won 12 of his 32 starts, acquiring $195,730 in prize money. His other group race victories included the 2006 Group 1 Hobart Thousand Final and the Group 2 Queensland Derby Final at Albion Park.
Superman commenced stud duties in 2007 and produced some quality greyhounds, including two-time group 1 winner Kilty Lad, Group 2 winner and track record holder Crump and Group 1 winner Amakler Girl.

Wild weather hits the Hunter Valley
Maitland and The Gardens were subjected to extreme weather conditions this past week, with both tracks severely damaged.
Meetings at both venues were abandoned last week and this week’s meeting scheduled for Maitland on Thursday has been shifted to Gosford.
The Gardens management are hoping they will resume racing this Friday, however no trials will be conducted during the week.
Dubbo track record broken
Neil Staines’ talented short-course sprinter Country Gun demolished his opposition on Sunday night at Dubbo in the Sprint Series final, setting a new track record of 18.02 over the 318-metre journey.
The son of Spring Gun and Country Rebel recorded his 8th win at start 17 and is undefeated around the Dubbo circuit.

Shared Equity scored a top win in a heat of the Group 2 Warrnambool Classic last Tuesday, recording a fast 24.87 over the 450-metre trip. The regally bred daughter of Brett Lee and West On Bluebird has now won seven from 12 and will jump from box one in the first semi-final this Wednesday night.
