Yuko Girl gifts Sam Sultana birthday victory in Million Dollar Chase (MDC) Regional Final

The final instalment of the Million Dollar Chase (MDC) regional finals was conducted last night at Gosford, with birthday boy Sam Sultana victorious with in-form chaser Yuko Girl.

Exiting from box four, the daughter of and Yuko stepped beautifully and led into the back straight with recent Golden Easter Egg placegetter (6) hot on her heels.

As the pair vied for the lead, the 27kg chaser broke clear to score by 1.5 lengths at the finish over a gallant (8) in 29.22.

It was her 10th career win from start 18, remaining undefeated at the Gosford circuit over the 515m after two attempts.

Two-time Million Dollar Chase winning trainer qualified Modern Talking in third.

With the regional qualifiers now run and won, six remaining city qualifiers will be the last roll of the dice for runners at on Saturday night to qualify for next week's semi-finals.

Group 1 Golden Easter Egg winner She's A Pearl remains the pre-series favourite with greyhound bookmakers at +250, with Wow She's Fast who trialled at the Glebe circuit last night the second elect at +400 and the only other runner in single figures.
