Bella Senora Wins The Australian Racing Greyhound Summer Cup Final

On a hot and windy afternoon at , eight talented greyhounds stepped out in the Australian Racing Greyhound Final, conducted over the 450m journey.

Local Maitland trainer Anne Foley had two runners engaged in the final, with her brilliant chaser Zac Marlow stepping out from box one as the $1.60 pre-race favourite. When the lids flew, the son of and jumped beautifully and raced to the lead, with eventual winner Bella Senora ($7.40) sitting right on his heels on the turn. Showing an enormous burst of strength, Bella Senora snuck along the rails to win by three quarters of a length in a sizzling 25.26. Trainer Adam Wade was stoked to win the event, which now takes her career statistics to an impressive seven wins from just seventeen starts.

“She's a hard chaser and always gives it everything.” Wade said during the presentation.

“She really likes this track and we've had good success here and it's all thanks to the sponsors who put on races .”

Bella Senora is owned and trained by Wade at his Kings Langley property, with the two hour trip to Maitland even more rewarding when he secured a second victory for the day, with Peta Pitstop taking out the Kevin Pitstock Stakes, clocking another speedy run of 25.30.

Both greyhounds are by out of Wacky Car Races and are showing great promise on the racetrack at present, with Bella Senora having recorded some quality personal bests at; (30.15), (22.59, 400m) and Maitland (22.60, 400m).
