Race 1 – 515M – 7.11pm
Kalden Balerion has the red and as long as he doesn’t bomb the start he should win. He does need room to move early but he should get that. Camouflage Model did what was expected of her last start and won her first start here in SA. Stuzzichino has come up with box two and he looks a great hope. Woodside Jagger and As It Goes both have talent, but a speedy start and luck will play a big part for them.
Top Four Selections: 1 – 4 – 2 – 5
Race 2 – 515m – 7.35pm
Tough race, but I’m going with Little Dakota from the squeeze box. He’s going to need luck, but he’s a fast dog who can get home hard and he just needs to land handy in behind the speedy runners. Tia Belle should fire out but gets tired. I suspect Tegra Bale and Katz Shadow will get tangled up early so Ill go with the outside boxes for the placings. Voltron Bale and Sniper Skills are likely to miss the trouble so stick with them.
Top Four Selections: 5 – 4 – 7 – 8
Boxed Trifecta: 4,5,7,8
Race 3 – 731M – 7.55pm
I love the staying races and generally punt up big. There is nothing between Manila Express and Long Gully Surf. Whoever gets the clearer run should win. Zara Mclaren is clearly the best of the rest. Forget her last start performance where she got help up early on. Psychotic Gold is a quality stayer, but she’ll be left flat footed tonight.
Top Four Selections: 5 – 8 – 2 – 4
First Four: 5,8/5,8/2/4,7
Race 4 – 515M – 8.14pm
Pepper Kahn is the on top pick. She flys the lids and really revs up early. If there is just the slightest jam up behind she’ll win. Who’s Doing What is another speedy one early who will be right there. Allen Kenny is consistent without winning and Cosmo Kramer can’t be left out.
Top Four Selections:
Win on Pepper Kahn
Race 5 – 515m – 8.38pm
Cairnlea Peter should win courtesy of box one. He can run the time it will take to win and has the red.
Genghis Kahn is absolutely flying at present and he’ll jump out of the ground at some stage and certainly threaten. Wiregrass is drawn well and can place, whilst Velocity Daff can round out the top four.
Top Four Selections: 1 – 6 – 7 – 2
Race 6 – 515M – 8.58pm
These top grade races are super tough and I generally stay out of them. The only way I assess theses races is via latest form and the box draw. Fire Tyson has the red and is therefore the top pick. Encosta Kahn has the pink and loves it. Set The Scene needs it wide and has it. Emerley Lover is classy.
Top Four Selections. 1 – 8 – 7 – 5
Race 7 – 515M – 9.22pm
Another one for the too hard basket. Dee Dee Corsair can win if he can get across early and he is racing well.
Lolly Bale should fly out and lead. Wild Soul will steam home and Stop Scrammin’ will do the same.
Top Four Selections: 8 – 4 – 7 – 5
Suggested Bet: Don’t Bet
Race 8 – 515M – 9.41pm
Farmeroo has no excuses from box one and should win. Allen Illem will jump out of the ground and should run second. Cool Promise can run on hard. Happy Skipper, Dream Choice and Kensoo Karoo can all fill the placings.
Top Four Selections: 1 – 5 -6 – 4
Boxed Exacta: 1,5
Race 9 – 600M – 10.05pm
Great race with two genuine standouts in El Tren Bala and Dyna Hakon. Dyna Hakon is stepping up to the 600m trip for only the second time. He’ll need clear room and need El Tren Bala to get caught up in traffic, but if it happens he’ll win. Bogan Central is a quality chaser and Ping King can place.
Top Four Selections: 5 – 1 – 8 – 2
Boxed Exacta: 1,5
First Four: 1,5/1,5/2,8/2,4,7,8
Race 10 – 515m -10.24pm
Footrot Fanning is clearly the best dog in this race, but box eight will make his life tough. With clear running and luck he’ll beat them. Max Tyson won well at Gawler, so he is the second pick. Kara Roto will fly out and can hold on, whilst Lektra Hearn is well drawn.
Top Four Selections: 8 – 2 – 5 – 1
Race 11 – 515M 10.44pm
Mobius is the best dog but I’ll back something else in this. Roland Reason will need luck, but he can get it to win. Mobius is too good to leave out. Lektra Basset had talent and can run on. Punisher Bale will get home hard.
Top Four Selections. 4 – 7 – 2 – 5
