Cannington is set to host 12 races on Friday night from 7:05PM local time. The meeting is headlined by a cracking free-for-all over the 520m (race four) where the likes of Honestly Two and Ostropalous are set to dominate the small field.
Best Bet: Honestly Two (Race 4)
Honestly Two, for a brief period of time, was the most dominant free-for-all campaigner in the West and will be looking to bounce back from a few ordinary runs on Friday. The former Victorian burst onto the scene in Western Australia recording four wins on the bounce. Overall, she has had 12 starts over course and trip recording seven wins and one placing with a personal best of 29.69. The two-year-old has put in a few indifferent performances of late; however, has been placed perfectly on Friday by top trainer, Adam Smithson. She will have the speed to cross and burn off Obstropaulous drawn inside, has an outside box vacant and Canya Mia in box four often runs off one lane. This will leave the lead to Honestly Two and from there class should prevail.

Former Victorian, Officer Rod appears primed to record his first Western Australian victory. The son of My Redeemer built a handy record in Victoria recording two wins and three placings from seven starts including a good 21.99 run over the 385m at Shepparton. The two-year-old arrived in Western Australia in early June and is now being trained by Ben Maclean. Since joining Maclean's kennel he has run second twice being beaten by the smart Canya Accelerate on both occasions. There's no Canya Accelerate in Friday's contest which means a massive drop in competition for Officer Rod. He has handled box four on two prior occasions and with My Maddy drawn inside coming off a 520m run as well as a slow beginner in Danny Heffernan drawn outside he will have every chance to win.

Chris Halse has a handful of smart youngsters at present and West On Boonie could be the best of them. The son of Tommy Shelby has burst onto the scene having recorded four wins and two placings from eight starts with his prize money recently eclipsing $40,000. In recent weeks he has demonstrated his versatility winning in sub 30 seconds over the 520m and making a statement on his debut over the middle distance scoring by three lengths in 34.77. He drops back to the 520m on Friday and finds a race with an abundance of speed. The likes of Tweak Freak and Argyle Queen can really lid ping which will break this field up and allow West On Boonie the space he needs. He appears to be a pink box bandit and he will relish box eight once again looking to make it two from two.
