Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 6 Miss Clowntown. 7.25 pm Qld time
A 732m staying event, and Miss Clown Town, looks an easy winer in this. She's been tripping around the country lately but is back here again after her last start over the 630 here at Ipswich. She was slow to begin last start and got caught up in traffic early. But to her credit she knuckled down and got home very well,after a tearaway leader, who run super quick time. She should get out quite cleanly here, with slow beginners all around. And prove way too good here. She can come from behind to win, or lead and win, either way, She should be winning.
Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 2 Just Shine 9.25 pm Vic Time
Just Shine looks unbeatable here. He has been going fantastic of late and posting very quick times. He's going to get a fantastic run behind, Five Star Knocka, who absolutely burns out of the boxes, but finds it tough in the run home. Just Shine will sit right behind him and as soon as Five Star Knocka starts to get tired, he will just whoosh straight pass him and be first past the post. Boxed to perfection and he should be winning this.
Dapto Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 1 Fast Archer, 7.29 pm Nsw time
Another shorty to keep the ball rolling with Fast Archer here. Two starts ago he stopped the clock in a very fast 29.88 after beginning very well, but still being out paced. He should lead early tonight, and as soon as this bloke finds the front it's all over bar the shouting. The rest of the field can't run anywhere near the time this bloke can and bad luck won't beat this fellow.
Hobart Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 1 Rumbling Rick 10.11 pm Vic time
Ricky Pontings, super fast chaser is engaged in this, and after the blistering 29.58 he posted two starts ago at Launceston he looks near impossible to beat in this. There's a few smart ones in this but I can't go past this bloke. He will get a nice clear run out wide and only has to get away safely to show his burn. Forget his last start in the heat of the Launceston cup where he began slowly and found bad trouble soon after. Should have no such trouble tonight and I think the only thing we will be watching is the clock.
Sandown Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 2, Catcha Grenade 9.58 pm vic time
Well if we are going to be let down in our quest for 5 winners. Then this is the most likely one to do so. Fingers crossed, with Catcha Grenade in this super though race. We tipped this bloke last week and he completely lost his bearings around the first turn. I'm hoping he doesn't do the same thing here tonight at Sandown. He's going to have his work cut out to run down Kent Bale, who seemed to get a little tired,In his latest win. Kent Bale has a slick 29.66 to his credit, but I have the feeling the Darren McDonald runner can go a little quicker with the right run. It all boils down to the first corner, if Catcha Grenade, can get around the first turn he will get his chance. He will be the longest priced runner of our short favorites.
Well There you have it 5 very short runners but if we can nail all 5 with a multi bet, the reward should be great.
