Wentworth Park racing tips

Ten races to be decided on another Wonderful Wednesday night of greyhound racing at . Some very nice graded races, the return of the 280m dash for cash, the oldies get a run and the battlers get to strut their stuff as well. There will be lots of quality races and quality greyhounds to go around in them. Lots of winners to be had and hopefully we can find you a winner or two.

Best Bet: Where's Bon Bon (Race 4)

This daughter of Feral Frankie and Oren Ishii has been a touch unlucky in her last couple of starts running into a potentially very good greyhound in Fernando Quality. She has been well backed in both runs and has been gallant in defeat. She drops back into this very winnable fifth-grade race where she is one of only three dogs to have won on the track. Better still she is the only greyhound to have broken the 30sec mark. She is not ideally drawn, in the middle box, as she can be a little tardy at box-rise but if she gets room and shows her acceleration, she will find the front she will be winning and repaying the punters that have been on her in her last couple of starts. She is one win and three placings from seven goes here but did contest the Easter Egg series, where she made the semi-finals. Trained by the leading kennel in NSW, she should be saluting tonight.

Danger: Stunning Ethics. There is some pace under Where's Bon Bon and if that causes her any problems early then Shane Pulbrook's galloper, Stunning Ethics just might get the fly around them. She is one of only three winners to win here but it seems to be win or nothing for this girl.

Next Best Bet: Zipping Remus (Race 5)

In a race that could be labelled a John-a-thon and John Finn rug up two runners each, in a seven dog field. However anyone that saw what did to what was admittedly an average fifth-grade last week will want to be on this boy again tonight. He gapped them by eleven lengths and ran the time of a top grade dog in 29.55secs. This will only be start four after contesting the rich Easter Maiden series and winning his heat before running third in the final and then last week's job. So he is still learning and improving and if he improves on what he did last week look out. He gets a vacant box outside of him to just give him that little bit of space to hit maximum acceleration and if he shows last weeks speed, he will be off and gone on this field.

Danger: . She was superb in her last section over the 520m at Richmond last Friday and whilst she isn't the greatest beginner, she will definitely be the strongest dog in the race. She is having her first run here at headquarters but the way she races that shouldn't worry her. It's just a problem if Remus is off and gone, can she go quick enough to reel him in?

Best Value: Jokey (Race 10)

The 280m races that are held here at Wentworth Park can often be a lottery and if you miss the start, no surprises that you don't often win the race, saying that, this race has a ton of early pace in it. Jokey may just be perfectly drawn out in box eight to zoom around the outside of them if they bunch up which is a distinct possibility. She has been racing the best sprinters from the at and has only been here three times for two placings and might just be the best each way bet on the program. She has a good record from outside boxes and if she gets a touch of luck (which you need in these races) could just pop-up at very nice odds.

Best Roughie: Mayfair Reign (Race 8)

This girl has struggled a little of late when drawn unsuitably down near the fence, in tougher graded races. This race is not easy by any stretch of the imagination with good pace drawn outside her looking to head to the fence. She is happier when she is drawn out wide and if she doesn't get collected by in the early stages just might find that greyhounds tail and follow it until the home turn when she past and wins at big odds. She is three from four here at Wenty and is yet to be unplaced from box seven and while the market might not think she's a genuine chance , there has never yet been a greyhound that reads the papers or looks at the bookmakers.
