Craig Townsend Appointed To Manage Bathurst Greyhounds
The NSW GBOTA, this week, confirmed the appointment of Craig Townsend as its Manager of Bathurst operations.
Townsend, 24, replaces the long serving Greg Hore who was recently appointed as Chief Grader for GRNSW. Currently employed with Telstra Country Wide, Townsend has a greyhound racing background and will commence duties on August 31, 2009.
NSW GBOTA, Executive Officer, Brenton Scott, said he was confident Craig had the administrative background and desire for success that was needed for Bathurst to maintain its progress.
“There can be no doubt that Craig has big steps to fill… Greg Hore made an outstanding contribution and was a central force in taking the club to its present part-TAB status,” explained Scott.
“However, Craig has the enthusiasm and wants to make a difference.”
The NSW GBOTA received excellent interest in the position and Scott thanked those that had applied.
“The interest and the standard were quite high… I thank all that extended their interest.”
