Saturday’s Wentworth Park tips, odds & value bets | 5/11/2022
Ten sensational races await us at Wentworth Park this Saturday night. We have four heats of an outstanding restricted-wins series, a great free-for-all which sees the Wenty Park return of Fantastic Raven, and what looks to be an ultra-competitive masters race which sees old favourite Tiger Jack come back, and a couple of very good fifth-grade races. As always, we will do our best to steer you into a winner or two.
BEST BET: Red Hot Frankie (Race 2)
This daughter of Feral Frankie and Little Nangar did the right thing for us last Saturday night and nothing should change tonight. She had absolutely no luck in her recent starts from awkward middle draws, but from boxes three and inside she is now three from three. She bounced back to her brilliant best from this draw last week, so much so that trainer Ray Smith is having a serious think about taking this girl south to Victoria in pursuit of bigger fish. Her first section last week was excellent en route to a slashing 29.64, and a repeat of that would see her leading this field comfortably. If she does lead around the first turn, it will be a case of how far for this Red Hot Frankie.
Danger: That'll Do Neo has been there and thereabouts recently and can begin well enough to trouble Frankie, especially if he moves towards the fence. At 33.5kg, he may knock little Frankie girl over and take the race for himself.

NEXT BEST: Black Abbott (Race 7)
We were able to burst this boy's bubble two starts back when we tipped him as our best bet, but he bounced back in emphatic fashion last week when accounting for a good field after missing the kick and having to do tons of good work to push through along the fence. His time of 29.83 was outstanding considering where he was after 50m. He hunted hard for the fence, and once he found it through the first turn it was a case of how far for this talented chaser. Now he draws closer to the fence again in box two and has a reliably fast beginner in one of our favourite girls, Mia She's Fast, and it truly looks a race in two. Black Abbott will appreciate the trial into the first turn and will be punching through before taking over down the back straight and racing away for win number two here at headquarters.
Danger: Mia She's Fast is well enough named, but will running 30.20 be enough to hold off Black Abbot? If she leads and the favourite finds trouble, however, she could just rack up another win.

BEST VALUE: Coin Model (Race 8)
This well-bred boy looked a little lost on his Wentworth Park debut last week. With an ounce of luck from this draw, he should improve out of sight and show some of the potential of his breeding. We are hoping he gets the perfect drop on the expected leader, Tokyo Drift, who has only been racing over the sprints. If it all goes right, Coin Model can round him up and put them all away turning for home.
