Adele Powell Suspension To Stand

GHRRAThe Greyhound and Harness Racing Appeals Appeals Tribunal has today found that the original three month suspension imposed upon is to stand.

In May 2008, concluded an into the circumstances surrounding Ms Adele Powell leaving a Stewards' Inquiry in September 2007 and failing to obey a Stewards direction.

At the time the Stewards found Adele Powell guilty and imposed a three month suspension on the trainer.

Ms Powell immediately lodged an appeal with the Greyhound and Harness Racing Appeals Appeals Tribunal and was granted a stay of proceedings allowing her to continue training until the appeal was heard.

The Appeals Tribunal, today, has carefully considered an Appeal by Adele Powell for her breach of Rule 125(1)(p) (Old ), for disobeying a 's direction.

Adele Powell was charged for leaving a Steward's Inquiry, without permission, contrary to Stewards' direction.

After consideration of the evidence, the Tribunal dismissed the Appeal and confirmed the Stewards' penalty that Adele Powell be suspended for three months, effective immediately.
