Incident Information
The Wilsons Prom Cathedral fire is burning 7.5 kilometres south-east of the Wilsons Promontory entrance gate. The fire is burning in a west to north-west direction and is estimated to be 5500 hectares in size. This fire is not currently posing a threat to communities.
However, we would like to advise residents north of Wilsons Promontory they will be observing increased amounts of smoke as a result of fire activity.

There may be increased amounts of smoke in the area from this fire.
Road users are advised to take extra care as road travel may be hazardous due to low visibility from smoke.
Even though this fire does not currently pose a threat, people in high risk bushfire areas are reminded to have a bushfire survival plan ready to implement during the summer period.
