Addington NZ greyhound tips & value bets | Thursday, June 29
Greyhound racing in New Zealand on a Thursday evening is once again being held at Addington, with 12 races carded. The first kicks off at 4:37pm (NZST).
Best Bet: Gotcha Charged (Race 2)
Gotcha Charged was back to his very best here last week from box one – which he gets here – when he absolutely flew the lids and was just too slick for a handy Class 5 field. It is safe to say that this fellow is at his best when drawn in near the rails and that, coupled with his big frame of 34kg, ensures he can withstand any outside pressure when driving to he first bend. He is very well placed to repeat the dose.

Next Best Bet: Opawa Ryder (Race 7)
Opawa Ryder finished runner-up as favourite behind our best bet last week in what was quite the upset. Many thought this guy would leave the boxes in front; as it was, he jumped second and from there chased hard to the line but never looked like winning. The key here is drawing the inside box and also the fact this field is the least of the three Class 5 sprints on the card. He should set the record straight here.
Best Value Bet: Diamond Alex (Race 6)
There should be some value around Diamond Alex, who will be hoping to turn some consistent placed form into a win wearing the red rug. He did not begin the best in his last two starts, but they were in stronger fields, and a draw where he has been successful from in three of four races should change those slow starts. He is capable of taking them all the way.
