Albion Park is set to host 12 races on Thursday night, with the first kicking off at 6:42pm local time. The feature race on the night is the Easter Sprint Trophy Final, where the winner will walk away with a handy $12,000 in prizemoney. We've also got three cracking FFA races over 520m, 600m and 710m.
Best Bet: Springtime Jet (Race 7)
Springtime Jet is looking to hold his picket fence as he goes for five wins on the bounce. The Jet has been just that over the past two months in open company over course and trip, trouncing rivals by a combined 20+ lengths from his past four wins. He is coming off a four-week letoff, although this hasn't been an issue in the past as he recently came off a three-week break to score his most recent win in a scorching 29.78. His biggest rival on paper is Jay Is Jay, who recently obliterated the long-standing record over the Albion Park 520m. Jay is coming off a failed Golden Easter Egg preparation where he didn't make it out of the heats. He is drawn awkwardly with speedy beginner Cincinnati Lana, who wants to get off the track, drawn inside him. This will aid Springtime Jet's chances, as he is five from five out of box one. Given he finds the front, he's capable of running a slick 29.60, which would be extremely hard to run down.

Northern Rivers trainer Robert Cooke is looking to get his superstar back in the winner's circle after a failed Golden Easter Egg campaign. Cash Master, the winner of the 2022 QGOLD Emerging Sprinters race, won three consecutive starts in slick time over this course and distance with a scorching 29.58 personal best. The master was underwhelming in his last Queensland start when finishing last, beaten over 10 lengths, which forced Cooke to tip him out. He returned last fortnight in a heat of the Golden Easter Egg as a popular $2.10 favourite; after beginning well, he was just about to let rip when finding severe trouble. Complete pen job. He returns to the 520m at Albion Park, which he has shown a liking to, and finds arguably his easiest race in half a dozen starts. Given he gets clear air to find his feet early, he's a class above these and should put them to bed comfortably.

Best Value: Summer Breeze (Race 2)
Summer Breeze is thriving as a four-year-old and looks value in the masters' event. The son of Aston Dee Bee has enjoyed a successful career with 15 wins and 21 placings to date from 50 starts and has aged like fine wine, if his last two starts are anything to go by. Returning from a five-month layoff, he scored terrifically in 30.42 by two lengths off this box. Last start, he ran a cracking race from the outside, recording a similar time. He was unable to overhaul Dreamy Dan in 30.50. Now he returns to an inside draw, and with a noted slow beginner drawn inside him, he should be able to find the rails with ease. He appears the greyhound with the best latest form and can make it two wins from three starts since his long absence.
