Our expert tipster Brad Bugeja has been busy studying the form to bring you today’s best bets and suggested wagers.
Race 8: Lister Bale
His most recent form isn’t that great but he has been taking on much stronger company in recent weeks and he looks well placed in this event. From the pink draw he should be afforded all the breaks in the run to the first turn and he should prove too strong overall.
Race 6: Earl Bale with William Hill
Earl Bale hasn’t won for a while and he was struggling for a little stretch there, however last time out he showed tremendous improvement when placed at Geelong over 460-metres. From the pink draw he should be able to roll to the early lead and he is a different chaser when he can dictate the terms. He should be around the 6 to $8 mark and that is great odds.
Race 8: Penance Allen
She is likely to get well back early but she has raced well here in the past and with quite a few front runners in this race. She should get every chance to run over the top of them late. She has been taking on some quality opposition of late and at the $10 mark with William Hill she is a great each way investment.
Race 8: 3 to rove with 1,4,6 ($3 for 100%)
Punishment has a terrific record here and he looks to have panels on his opposition, with a clean getaway he should be winning easily.
Montgomery Road and Shamus’s Entity are both drawn to get a nice run behind Punishment in the early and middle stages, whilst He Isn’t Really comes here with strong Victorian form and he could run a forward race.
Race 7: 2/4,5,7/1,4,5,6,7,8 ($15 for 100%)
Leg 1: 1,4,5,7 – Leg 2: 1,2,3,5,8 – Leg 3: 1,2,4,8 – Leg 4: 3,4,6
$120 for 50%
