Greyhound Tips For Saturday 13th April 2013
We experienced a total blackout yesterday, without a single winner. However I was quietly confident the two favorites at Geelong in race 9 would miss the place. That they did and we went with Street Danger at $32.00. Unfortunately it ran unplaced, but the winner paid $32.00 and the trifecta nearly $3,000. The first four paid near $9,000! I thought the roughies would win but we went with the wrong one. If you had of taken my advice, and boxed a few up, you would of had a nice collect.
Hopefully tonight we can turn it all around a find a few winners, to have ya hard earned on.
The Meadows Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1 Mission Complete, 9.22pm
715m staying event here, and there’s 3 winning chances. Mission Complete, Katie Merry, and Defib Darryl. The classy and honest Mission Complete for Michelle Mallia- Magri looks the out right winner for mine. He’s always raced around in group or feature races and always acquitted himself very well. Recently he ran a place in the the Group 1 Sandown Cup. He had to come from behind that night and went really close to winning. This is no Sandown Cup field and from box 1 this bloke looks to good. Katie Merry, will no doubt put it to him early, but if he can stay on touch with her early, I have no doubt he can finish to strong. He has a great box 1 record, and last start at Ballarat he was moving around the field nicely before he coped a bad check, which put an end to his chances. Big improvement here tonight and he looks a great bet here. He should start around $3.00 and that should be enough.
Wentworth Park Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 4 Pride of Mykonos 10.20pm
Nice race here with a few chances. Magic Sprite the current boom sire just keeps producing winners. Every time I see a Magic Sprite pup in a race, I always stay very aware of its presence. They just keep winning and some step up from the shorter trip straight up too 500, and it only takes them 1 or 2 starts to start winning. Magic Sprite is certainly the real deal. Our selection Pride Of Mykonos stepped out here last week with an all the way victory in a quick 30.13 at big odds. He sped away early with a nice first section and despite his ordinary career record, his Wenty record is fabulous with 10 starts for 2-2-2. He’s got nice early toe, and he only needs to jump and repeat last starts effort to salute here. He won’t be able to dwell and stay in the boxes, as the outside runners will be carving down. He needs to ping and run to win this. He should be value and don’t take silly odds. $7.00 should be around the mark. Each way.
Cannington Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 2 Boss Coin, 8.35pm W.A time
The feature race here tonight is the Lew Dorsa Memorial Trophy. $12,000 is what the winner will receive, and I’m confident it’s going Boss Coins way. Last week Boss Coin and the Perth Cup winner Dyna Nalin, fought the heat out with Boss Coin proving to good. This week with the box draws reversed I can’t see Boss Coin being beat. From box 2 he should begin quickly and if he leads its all over. He carved out very fast sectionals last week and stopped the clock in a quick 30.33. Last week Dyna Nalin run nicely into second but wasn’t taking any ground off Boss Coin in the run to the line. Boss Coin should begin and head straight to the front, and he looks a certainty in this. He’s a very fast and talented dog, and since his return to the track he’s been noting short of brilliant. He will be short, but fixed price will be on offer, and I’d say get in early to maximize your return.
Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 7 Maywyn’s Diva. 10.34pm
This little girl is strictly a place bet only, but we should be able to get about $5.00 the place. There’s very little pace early in this race, and she may be able to skip away early and give them something to catch. She has a pretty good record here, with a PB of 31.00 and she only a needs to jump and run to hold onto a place in this. Zipping Hurf looks the one to beat, he’s had a little freshen up and is a nice young dog going places. He’s going to have to give 1 or 2 of these a start but he has a big motor and far too much class for these. He will need luck but he should win. It may be a good race to take a multiple in, with Maywyn’s Diva set to lead and take plenty of catching. Nice race to have a go in.
It’s a tough night ahead but I’m hopeful we can turn a profit, Fixed price will be on offer with one of our many sponsors Luxbet, Sportingbet, Sportsbet and Iasbet.
It’s pouring here in Queensland, and hopefully the rain stays away.
Best Of Luck
