Rockhampton Wednesday tips, odds & quaddie – November 29, 2023
Rockhampton is set to host a 12-race program on Wednesday night from 6:41pm local time. The meeting is headlined by a fifth-grade final featuring the likes of Edgewood and Yuri Magic, while Mark Sure Can will look to win his 13th-straight race when he lines up in the best eight over 407m.
Race 1: Me And Fred (7)
Me And Fred made his debut last Wednesday and was heavily supported in betting with top bookmakers. The son of Fernando Bale stepped brilliantly and found the lead uncontested but was gathered in by Mia Miracle, who ran the quickest time of the night. Expect him to take good improvement from that run and have the experience to topple the well-bred debutants drawn inside him.

Form: 2 | Career: 1: 0-1-0 | Trainer: Juanita Thompson
Race 11: Gilded (4)
Gilded is racing far better than her recent form indicates. The daughter of Tommy Shelby began brilliantly at her last start before receiving a heavy check which sent her to the back of the pack. That was just the latest of several instances where she's had little luck in the early stages. Neville Jackson's bitch is well placed in pathways company and has a good map. Tiger Mum outside her will want to use the track a touch, which will give Gilded the space she requires early to hit top gear.

Race 5: Fabulous Carter (2)
Fabulous Carter raced with little luck from a wide draw in his first start for leading Rockhampton trainer Ken Boody, as he stepped well and just got caught wide throughout. He jumps into box two now and is set to get a lovely trail behind Farmor Iconic — a consistent beginner who will want to rail. Expect Fabulous Carter to stalk Farmor Iconic before grabbing her late in the piece.
