Leg 1 – Albion Park – Race 7: Kid Shelleen To Place $2.25
Kid Shelleen is perfectly placed out wide and with slow beginners on his outside, he should get every chance to return to form and regain some confidence. In recent weeks he has been finding bother soon after box rise, if he can step cleanly tonight, he should get plenty of room to muster speed and he should be able to settle in the top two early. He is capable of running very quick sectionals when out in the open and it might be worthwhile having something on him for the win separately.
Leg 2 – Sale – Race 7: Rail Rider To Win $4
Rail Rider does his best racing here and last time out he returned to form with a smart 25.30 win here from this draw. He is blessed with very good early speed and with a keen railer drawn underneath, he should be able to carve across and assume control at the first bend. His last 30m isn't great but he should have a nice lead as they turn for home and that should be enough for him to score.
Leg 3 – Sale – Race 8: Tobias Kelton To Place $2
Tobias Kelton is a very strong type and, although he is better suited to a longer journey, I think he is actually well placed in this race. He is likely to settle midfield but he should be able to get out wide into some open spaces and that is when he should make his move. There are a couple of front runners in this event that will get tired in the run home, so he should be able to pick them off late in the race.
