The Meadows greyhounds betting tips

THE Shepparton To The Meadows final gets the night underway on Saturday with the odd number boxes looking very hard to toss in this event.

Runaway Miss (one), Aston Lamont (three), Rio Hato (five) and Emmy’s Shark (seven) have great winning strike rates and are all in good hands. The Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning 600 metre final looks to be a beauty with Corey Grenfell’s Loxton Bale the likely favourite here.

We also see last week’s best bet running again from the same draw (one) but this time Xinmin Bale is over the 600m. However, he does meet a smart one in Chop Scotch who will be hard to catch. Looking forward to this clash.

BEST BET: LOXTON BALE

Race 7 – 8:38pm

LOXTON Bale has a chance to lead here but it will be a nervous couple of seconds going around the first bend from the 600m start as half of the field have similar first section times. The daughter of Magic Sprite x Dyna Weslyn is going for three in a row after leading all of the way from box seven here over the same distance on March 16’s midweek meeting. Before that it was an all the way victory from the cherry draw. Curator has box two and is going to be a threat, however he will likely be giving our top selections a few lengths early.

NEXT BEST: TIBERIA BALE

Race 10 – 9:42pm

ANDREA Dailly’s chaser Tiberia Bale gets the good draw again after waiting 17 starts. We are going on his win from box one back on October 15 when he picked them up over the concluding stages. He is not blessed with early pace so box one is an advantage if he can hunt up early and settle third or fourth down the back. Ben Joske’s Two Phones will be one of the favourites but he has to get over from the six, likewise Diesel Runner (box eight) who be well supported by punters, but can he get over from out there in a race where most have very similar first splits.

BEST VALUE: CHOP SCOTCH

Race 5 – 7:54pm

THE Rob Camilleri trained chaser Chop Scotch has a tremendous winning strike rate having won 23 from 59 starts. All of those have been under 515m but we are counting on him with his early pace to put three to four lengths on them before the bend. Obviously the last 70m is a query but he led all of the way at Sandown Park last time, running 29.56 from the same box. Before that it was an easy five length win at Geelong over 400m. Xinmin Bale draws another inside box and is an obvious danger after just missing out last Saturday after storming home late. You would think the 600m would be no problem.
