Bullicourt Elite Looking For A Change Of Luck
Bullicourt Elite was sent to Hansen after recording three straight wins, but since then has had three unplaced runs for the Daisy Hill based trainer.
“He hasn’t had much luck in his races of late, but he has ability as shown in his early races.” Hansen said.
Since his run of wins, the son of Elite State has been dogged by some bad box draws, and checks in running which have ruined his chances.
“At his last start at Geelong he came out running, only to receive a bad check on the first turn.”
Bullicourt Elite will have to come out running again though, as he will have to overcome an awkward Box 6 draw.
Hansen has nominated the Jason Thompson trained Sheoak Boxer as the one to beat in his heat.
Sheoak Boxer will jump from inside Bullicourt Elite in Box 5, which is his first run back from a short let up.
“We are hoping that Sheoak Boxer will cart him across the field, and that he can keep clear of any trouble in the race.”
“If he can put it all together, he will definitely be an each way chance in the race.”
Bullicourt Elite is rated a 10/1 chance in pre post betting markets, which is the last of the four Grade 5 heats on the program.
The four winners and second placed greyhounds from the heats will qualify for the final to be run next Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, Hansen also has litter sister Bullicourt Vocal engaged in the Ashdrive Asphalting Maiden to be run over 450 metres.
Bullicourt Vocal has been working up to a win, and broke through in a qualifying trial at Bendigo on Friday, when she led from start to finish.
“Hopefully the run will give her some confidence and she goes on from here.”
“She should go well from her box 3 draw, and deserves her chance in an open race.”
