Double delight for Aloisi in SA National Championship finals

Tim Aloisi stamped his ticket twice for the National Championships with Ravers Army and taking out their state finals at Angle Park on Thursday night.

Zipping Neutron notched up his 10th-straight victory when winning the South Australian Championship.

Last week, he saluted by over five lengths in front of Bedrock Fred and Springvale Rex in the heat.

Sent out in the 730m state final as a $1.35 race favourite, he jumped from the two box to hit the lead as he took the first corner two lengths ahead.

Into the back straight, Springvale Rex ($12) sat in second as he tried to keep up with the leader.

But Zipping Neutron got away on the home stretch to win by four and a half lengths in front of Springvale Rex and Dashing Deb ($71) in a time of 43.22.

The x Zipping Abby chaser has 18 wins and nine placings from 45 career starts and has earned $103,880 for .

Kennelmate Ravers Army took out the South Australian at $7 odds with an impressive run.

From the jump, the Fernando Bale x Bella Rico chaser got out to be fifth, with ($4.20) in the lead and Reality Infrared ($34) in company.

Moving out wide, Ravers Army passed through the field before he edged out Coorong Cam to win on the post.

He won by one and a half lengths, beating home Reality Infrared and ($4) in a time of 30.59.

Rivers Army has 23 wins and 12 placings from 51 starts and has banked $82,695 for connections.

Aloisi will now head to The Meadows with his winning pair for the finals of the National Championships on August 26.
