Exclusive One Dexamphetamine Inquiry Adjourned Again
Greyhound Racing NSW Stewards have this week continued inquiries into the reports from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory (ARFL) and Racing Analytical Services, Victoria, of the detection of amphetamine in urine samples taken from Exclusive One and Cookie’s Recipe at Maitland on 26 April 2012.
Further evidence was taken today from trainer Mr David Righetti, attendant Ms Jodie Feltrin and from ARFL Science Manager Dr Adam Cawley.
An inquiry was also opened into reports from the laboratories that amphetamine had been detected in the pre race urine sample taken from Cookie’s Recipe prior to it competing at Wentworth Park on 4 August 2012.
Evidence in respect of that inquiry was also taken from Mr Righetti, Ms Feltrin and Dr Cawley.
Mr Righetti was represented at this week’s inquiries by Mr Mark Higgins and Mr Bryan Wrench of Murphy’s Lawyers.
The inquiries have been adjourned to a date to be fixed so as to enable analysis of environmental samples and provision of technical information evidenced during this week’s hearings.
